Experience
Having obtained his first class honours degree in Zoology, Jay joined us in 2025 as a freelance Field Ecologist, supporting us with bat and badger work. It was clear very quickly that Jay was the perfect fit for the team and that he has everything needed to become a fantastic Ecology Consultant. Jay is now working towards that goal, whilst supporting our Consultant and Field Ecologists across all areas of our work.
Jay has a keen interest in insects, having frequently carried out butterfly transects in his local area. As a Kent local, Jay’s knowledge of the flora and fauna of south-east England is well developed, with this knowledge always expanding through his membership of Butterfly Conservation, RSPB, Kent Reptile and Amphibian Group, Bat Conservation Trust and Kent Field Club.
